I had the privilege of praying Friday prayers several times before. Today, I prayed Friday prayers with friends after a long time. A unique combination of Kuwait’s modern architecture and spiritual traditions can be seen in Bilal bin Rabah Mosque. Located in the Al-Siddiq area, this mosque is not only a place of prayer, but also another center of religious and social life in Kuwait. The mosque’s importance has increased since it was named after the first muezzin of Islam, Hazrat Bilal (RA). The presence of thousands of people here during the nights of Qiyamul Layl in the last ten days of Ramadan creates a different world. The architectural beauty of the mosque, the huge prayer hall, the golden chandeliers, the aesthetic interior decoration and the open courtyard give it a different beauty. With golf carts, doctors, traffic control for the elderly and the sick, it is not only a religious but also a unique social arrangement. The main prayer hall is large and beautiful, and there is a separate women’s prayer hall next to it. There is an additional prayer hall for men in the basement, a spacious courtyard outside and numerous car parking facilities. The most attractive feature inside is the 24-carat golden bronze-plated huge crystal chandelier. If you want to see the mosque with your own eyes, the most vibrant atmosphere is found during the month of Ramadan, but you can also visit at other times to avoid the crowds.
